LOCAL PEOPLE. LASTING RELATIONSHIPS.
Chillicothe roots.
A commitment to doing right by people.
Affordable Air Heating & Cooling began in August 2006. Shane Shaw, a sales manager, and Darin Frazier, a service manager, left another HVAC company to start their own in the community they called home. Twenty years later, Chillicothe is still home—and taking care of customers is still at the heart of the business.
Today, a team of 20+ technicians, installers, refrigeration specialists and office staff carries that same commitment into every home and business we serve.
For founders Shane Shaw and Darin Frazier, that means being honest about the work, explaining the options, and making things right when something doesn’t go as planned. They’re your neighbors, and they want to build the kind of relationship that lasts beyond a service call.

LOCAL EXPERIENCE. NEIGHBORLY CARE.
Choose an HVAC contractor who calls Chillicothe home.
When you invite someone into your home to work on your heating or cooling, you’re trusting them with your comfort, your time and your budget. We want you to feel comfortable with the people as well as the plan.
Locally owned. Part of your everyday life.
Shane Shaw and Darin Frazier built Affordable Air in the community they called home. Our team lives in the communities we serve. We’re the people you might find behind you in line at the bank, next to you at a high school football game or catching up with a neighbor at the county fair.
Those everyday connections matter. When the service visit is over, we’re still part of the same community. We want you to feel just as comfortable saying hello around town as you do calling us about your furnace.
Clear answers. A commitment to making things right.
Our trained team brings care and professionalism to homes and businesses. We listen to your concerns, explain what we find and talk through the options with you. That conversation helps us understand what comfort means for your space, beyond the equipment itself.
Being honest about the work and making things right when something doesn’t go as planned are commitments that come directly from our founders. From a cold morning before the school bus arrives to a summer evening around the kitchen table, we’d welcome the chance to hear what you need and earn your trust.
